Storm Arwen
On 26 November 2021 Storm Arwen struck Scotland with winds gusting up to 90mph. The winds came from the north east making trees more vulnerable to windthrow. Large extents of forest were flattened and many trees were blown over power lines. The electricity was off for four days in Tarland and more outlying properties were without power for over a week. The photographs below were taken a few days after the wind had abated and the clear up had began.
